The Girodisc Slotted Front Brake Rotors have been designed as direct replacements of the factory units but with high performance in mind. Made out of U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum and their own proprietary cast iron, each rotor has curved directional vanes that act as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.
Girodisc’s rotor and hat floating mount system utilizes 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins secured by grade 12.9 cap screws and hardened washers that allow for axial and radial float between the hat and disc while self-centering the rotors between the pads. Anti-noise spring washers allow the rotors to expand with heat while eliminating the rattle associated with floating rotors.
